SMT is made in the form of panels of various sizes, different densities and thickness from 4 to 12 mm. The most popular sizes are 2440 h1220mm.
The front surface of the panels is made smooth, polished, t. e. prepared for further decoration – staining, pasting with wallpaper, etc. D. The reverse side is rough. It is easy to stick tiles on it, apply plaster.
SMT sheets can also be glued with organic adhesives, can be subjected to mechanical fastening methods.
